Part time Finance Officer (2 days per week) required by a leading international charity in the City of London.

The charity is looking for a proactive and skilled Finance Officer to join their small, busy team in their central London office. You will be supporting the Finance Manager with financial administration including financial planning and reporting. The successful candidate will have experience in a similar role, with good numeracy skills and attention to detail. They will have the ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt quickly.

This is a part-time, permanent role, working 2 days per week, paying up to £35k pro rata plus excellent benefits, they are very flexible on working arrangements (you can work 100% remotely, hybrid etc). Interviews asap!

Duties include:

  • Preparing payments for invoices, grants, salaries and expenses in multiple currencies
  • Raising invoices, acknowledging receipts and donations, and following up outstanding receivables, drafting correspondence as necessary
  • Preparing monthly management accounts
  • Preparing financial reports that may be required by funders or others
  • Coordinating the tracking of restricted funds, in collaboration with colleagues
  • Dealing with payment queries and sending remittance advices
  • Checking and collating expense claims, assisting other staff as necessary
  • Filing payments and associated documentation
  • Working with online donation systems (such as JustGiving, Enthuse, Facebook), running reports and manipulating exported data
  • Filing donation reports, documentation of receipts
  • Reconciling bank statements and petty cash balances in multiple currencies
  • Updating CRM with contact and transaction information
  • Assisting with preparation for external audit and responding to audit requests
  • Assisting the Manager with tasks related to finance, budgeting and planning

Essential requirement – AAT level 3 qualification or equivalent
