SEO & Content Manager required by a leading global advertising agency in central London to drive their organic performance across multiple markets. You will be the principal owner of SEO across the business, and own and develop a global strategy for driving growth through organic. You will be responsible for developing and executing a robust content & social strategy to help scale their SEO and content efforts and engage new audiences to their sites.
This is a full time permanent role, paying circa £60-70k per annum plus benefits. Hybrid working model (office and home based). Interviews asap.
This role reports in to the Head of Marketing, it be an all-round SEO with both technical and content & social knowledge, and good experience working on content and outreach campaigns. You will work alongside and manage content & social executives to create a content strategy that will bring growth and align with business objectives, while helping to shape the brand. Duties:
- Support the Head of Marketing in creating and executing the SEO strategy
- Carry out regular site audits and analysis across markets to ensure they’re set up in line with SEO best practice and are being continually optimised
- Keep a close eye on all Google updates that impact how Google sees the ranking factors of a website and update the team accordingly
- Own and develop the technical SEO and on-page optimisation roadmaps ensuring they are prioritised to deliver the biggest business value
- Manage and produce regular reporting on keyword performance, ranking and organic traffic and share recommendations on how to enhance organic search visibility and performance
- Identify new content opportunities using keyword research, competitor analysis etc
- Work closely with the Business, Product, and Technology teams to identify areas on the website that can drive organic search
- Manage a content team to execute and expand our content to deliver organic growth, by building a high volume keyword-informed content strategy for both blog and social
- Working with the content team, lead on and have overall responsibility for content marketing, including strategic direction, content creation, distribution, social and digital PR
- Ensure evergreen content development supports the delivery of commercial targets –
- primarily driving core business KPIs, as well as building engagement with the brand
- Work closely with the wider marketing team (Paid, SEO, CRM, Brand and Social
- Executives) to further the reach of our content
- Deliver a robust and forward-thinking content marketing strategy for our core audience
- Ensure content quality whilst communicating and enforcing deadlines and KPIs to your team
Key Skills:
- Strong SEO experience (in-house or agency-side)
- Track record of delivering (and communicating about) business results from SEO
- investments
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects and contributors, websites, planning and implementing successful SEO strategies that led to increased organic visibility
- Excellent knowledge of technical SEO and how this relates to various teams
- Experience in international SEO
- Advanced reporting skills / strong analytical skills
- Excellent knowledge in Google Analytics, and Search Console
- Good knowledge of HTML - no coding experience necessary
- Familiarity with various CMSs,
- Experience in the use of third-party SEO tools, like Semrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Majestic, WordPress, Buzzstream, Buzzsumo DataStudio etc
- Advanced knowledge of standard, current SEO practices and keep up to date with the latest developments in SEO (trends, news, algorithmic updates) that could impact organic performance
- Ability to identify new opportunities through technical SEO, offsite and onsite SEO
- Ability to work independently but also as part of a larger team
- Superior project management
- You will be comfortable using an array of market research methods to assist in content creation and ideation
- You will have experience in running successful link-building campaigns
- Managerial experience as you will be managing a team of content executives
