Role Overview


As a Housing Officer, you will provide a high-quality tenancy and neighbourhood management service to general needs and sheltered residents. Your role will be crucial in helping residents sustain tenancies, engage in decision-making, and live in well-managed neighbourhoods.


Key Responsibilities


  • Tenancy & Leasehold Management: Manage a designated patch of tenancies, ensuring compliance and addressing breaches when necessary.
  • Resident Engagement: Foster strong relationships with residents to enhance satisfaction and community well-being.
  • Support for Vulnerable Residents: Identify and assist vulnerable residents by connecting them to relevant support services.
  • Tenancy Audits: Conduct tenancy audits to keep business intelligence up to date.
  • Fire Safety Compliance: Identify and report fire safety issues, ensuring all necessary actions align with best practices.
  • Voids & Re-letting: Collaborate with the voids team to minimise rent loss and meet performance targets.
  • Housing Advice: Provide high-quality advice and signpost residents to appropriate services.
  • Anti-Social Behaviour Management: Lead ASB cases, ensuring swift resolution through effective partnerships.
  • Emergency Response: Respond to estate emergencies, offering on-site support and reassurance to residents.
