Senior Account Manager required by a world famous membership body in Central London. The post holder will be responsible for the achievement of annual sales targets across the agreed portfolio of products, by effective development and management of the Sales team.  Line management of the Sales team includes, performance management, target, and objective monitoring, coaching and development etc.  They will also be responsible for winning in-house business by creating new business against a personal target - existing products to existing sectors and new business – new regions and new sectors.

This is full time, permanent role – salary £42k per annum plus excellent commission and benefits – interviews will take place in January 2022 – currently remote working until their offices in London re-open

The successful candidate will have previous line management experience as well as excellent negotiation, presentation and communication skills combined with highly developed consultative sales skills.  They will also have strong commercial, planning and budgeting skills and demonstrate the ability to develop effective relationships and prove success as the leader of a sales team against challenging targets. This role will be based within the commercial / training arm of this leading membership body.

Duties include:


  • Pro-actively generate new business opportunities, through one’s own initiative and develop core propositions and generate both repeat and new business.
  • Generate a substantive sales opportunity pipeline and to achieve sales targets as defined in the Business Plan and Budgets.
  • Produce customer-specific proposals and attend customer meetings and presentations.
  • Manage the sales process from initial opportunity through to the securing of the client purchase order and ensure successful service delivery.
  • Attend industry events to network to ensure own knowledge is current and to aid the development of new opportunities and ensure existing business is content.
  • Support the Head of Sales in delivering the 2022 annual target
  • Maintain sales forecasts and reports to monitor team and individual performance.
  • To work with the operations team to ensure that all supporting admin is passed over accurately and efficiently.
  • Closely manage consultant relationship and identify leads and opportunities for follow up.
  • Responsibility for delivering annual sales targets.
  • Monitor team targets to meet annual budgets.
