Overview
As Project Officer you will support the College Centre for Standards and Improvement’s national audit programmes, research, and evaluation projects. The role involves supporting data collection and analysis, coordinating projects, and liaising with stakeholders to ensure high-quality delivery of outputs. The postholder will contribute to the development of reports, workshops, and communications materials, providing robust support across a range of projects.
Responsibilities
- Work with project leads and the wider team to design data collection methods, tools, and reports.
- Conduct research, summarise findings, and identify standards or criteria to measure service delivery and performance.
- Clean, analyse, and interpret data using SPSS and Excel to support projects and guide future analysis.
- Set up and manage online data collection tools and dashboards, including Power BI, Netsolving, Formic, and SNAP.
- Coordinate data submissions, providing support and resolving queries where needed.
- Maintain existing databases and help create new ones, including service contacts, memberships, and award records.
- Provide analytical input for reports, publications, and potential conference presentations.
- Draft project materials such as guidance notes, newsletters, service updates, and communications to improve processes.
- Handle general admin tasks like minute taking, travel arrangements, mail-outs, and processing invoices or expenses.
- Prepare materials, summaries, and reports for meetings, workshops, and visits.
- Help plan and run online and in-person meetings, workshops, advisory groups, and events.
- Facilitate group discussions and support organisations in developing improvement plans based on project findings.
- Liaise with stakeholders, service representatives, and project leads to keep projects running smoothly.
- Support marketing and recruitment activities to encourage participation and help produce publicity materials.
- Keep project webpages, email groups, and social media channels up to date.
- Pitch in with wider Centre for Standards and Improvement work as needed, including reviewing data and assisting with online events.
Make sure all work is done safely, in line with Health and Safety policies, and that data is handled in line with GDPR.
Essential:- Experience working with services or conducting audit, research, or evaluation projects
- Experience of data analysis using a statistical programme such as SPSS
- Well-organised, able to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong MS Office skills (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Office365)
- Report writing experience
- Graduate in social sciences, statistics, data science, or a similar discipline
- Experience organising or facilitating events and workshops
