Job Details

Academic Qualifications Officer required by a leading global membership body in London. The post holder will be administrating all aspects of the assessment academic qualifications, work-based learning, and applications for student membership. You will be responsible for administering student prizes and for providing secretariat support to the various department, sub-committees and working groups.

This is a full time, permanent role – salary £30k per annum plus benefits – currently remote working (hybrid mix of office and remote working thereafter).

Duties:

  • Providing advice and guidance to members and potential members on the administration of student membership and the assessment and eligibility of academic qualifications.
  • Preparing and issuing responses to queries received relating to routes to membership, specifically queries relating to student membership and assessment and eligibility of academic qualifications.
  • Preparing a range of written materials, including papers for committee meetings, standard email responses and letters to members.
  • Communicating policy on student membership and academic qualification to internal and external audiences via a range of media including guidance documents, training, website, and individual communications.
  • Act as Secretariat for departments, sub-committees or any relevant ad-hoc working groups.
  • Assist with and manage the administration and monitoring of applications and follow up cases where documentation has not been provided and send reminders to those who have not paid the balance of their graduate member fees.
  • Check and update members’ records on systems.
  • Understand and interpret information recorded on database and validate qualifications.
  • Support management to develop and update guidance and clarify and update policies and procedures as required.
  • Manage and assist with answering queries about our online application processes and the accreditation status of university and college courses.
  • Responsible for day-to-day management of administrative staff as directed by line manager.
  • Book travel and accommodation in line with policy as and when required.
  • Process members’ expenses.

  • Intermediate MS Office, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint and proprietary database systems.
  • Some experience of quality control processes.
