Interim HR Advisor (Policy Projects) required by a leading not for profit organisation based in the City of London.

The organisation are looking for someone who has experience of conducting policy reviews and has strong knowledge of consulting and negotiating with Trade Unions. The postholder would also need to be comfortable liaising with and advising the Leadership team/group with regards to policy drafts. This postholder will be responsible for project planning the work and timescales and agreeing that with the Union, reporting directly into the Head of HR.

This is a fixed term contract role until 30th August 2024 – starting asap – working 35 hours per week – salary circa £46-47k per annum pro rata plus benefits – hybrid working (home and office based) – excellent level of flexibility with working arrangements - interviews taking place immediately via MS Teams.

Duties include:

  • Provide high quality HR advice and guidance to employees and managers on all people matters, throughout the employee lifecycle.
  • Coach and support managers so they achieve their team and organisational objectives, and take forward solutions on all people matters in line with employment law and best practice.
  • Lead and advise on employee relations matters (such as sickness and grievance); ensuring appropriate steps are taken to manage cases.
  • Add value to the work of the organisation by managing and leading on the delivery of HR & OD projects to achieve the strategy, working collaboratively with colleagues.
  • Conduct policy reviews and negotiate with Trade Unions
  • Work with internal stakeholders, including the staff union on people matters within the workplace.
  • Work in collaboration with all members of the HR & OD team so it collectively achieves its strategic and operational objectives.
