A leading membership and qualifications body based in central London are recruiting for a Professional Development Specialist to work with a number of organisations to ensure that their trainees are gaining the appropriate skills to become professionally qualified. The membership body has a template training scheme that a number of company's use and they have a database that records these organisations, key staff overseeing the training scheme and the trainees linked to them. To become professionally qualified with this organisation, members need to demonstrate that they meet set academic standards, that they are competent professionals and that they are committed to high standards.
This is a full time, permanent role, paying £30,000 per annum plus excellent benefits, based in central London - interviews asap
The Professional Development Specialist will be responsible to the Education, Learning and Assessment Manager for all aspects of the administration of the Training Scheme, including the Online Scheme and Mentor Supported training. The organisation uses its data sharing and communications platforms to engage with that large number of people, but the personal touch is just as important and the Specialist will meet assessors face-to-face at training events and on committees.
Key duties include:
" Work with the team and various committees to administer the processes supporting applications from awarding bodies and universities for the assessment of new degree courses.
" Act as Secretariat for the Development Panel, Training Group, Sub Committees and associated Working Groups.
" Develop new policies and procedures as required, and help maintain existing policy and procedure documentation.
" Manage the designated budget for panel related expenditure.
