Job Details

Temporary HR and Recruitment Administrator required by leading educational body based in the City of London. The post holder will provide be the first point of contact for the HR Team, provide full recruitment and employee relations support, as well as administrative support to the HR Team.

This a TEMPORARY ROLE for approx. 8 weeks – paying circa £15.00 to £16.00 per hour – 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday – hybrid / flexible working (home and office based) – their offices are in the City of London (easy reach of 3 to 4 main London Underground stations)

Duties include:

  • Assist with updating and maintaining employee records both manual and electronic on a daily basis.
  • Updating and maintaining HR systems, eRecruitment system and databases internally, such as sick and maternity leave and any other update required.
  • Administer and assist all aspects of the recruitment function, in terms of liaison with the HR team to ensure a high quality, responsive service is provided to meet the aims of the HR objectives : 

  1. Produce short-listing packs
  2. Organise interviews and tests
  3. Interviewing candidates
  4. Prepare contracts of employment and offers letters
  5. Obtain and complete references
  6. Create personal files
  7. Maintain recruitment files
  8. Ensure that the HR undertakes all necessary employment checks including DBS checks and right to work, qualification and medical checks if required.

  • Assist with development, implementation and maintenance of the organisation’s preferred supplier list for the use of recruitment agencies.
  • Assist with monthly management information as required.
  • Organise and conduct new starter on-boarding processes, induction meetings with new employees and Agency workers; liaise with Line Manager’s to ensure they are aware of their responsibility in the induction process.
  • Assist with probationary processes.
  • Ensure that all payroll instructions are prepared and logged in time for the monthly payroll run and sent to the HR Coordinator, e.g. new starters checklist etc.
  • Organising formal employee relations meetings and taking accurate (and confidential) notes at these meetings.
  • Assisting in formal meetings, such as employee disciplinaries and grievances undertaking such tasks as may be required by the HR Director and HR Manager.
  • Assist with the management of invoices.
  • Support the HR Manager to keep the HR pages on the Intranet and websites up to date.
  • Assist with the booking of training and monitoring training evaluation forms and to ensure that they are inputted and filed on a monthly basis.
  • Assist with the maintenance of the annual training plan.
