Technical Business Analyst required by a leading, respected global institute based in central London. The post holder will be responsible for producing high level requirements, prototyping and solution design for new digital and web-based initiatives. The post holder will also be responsible for writing technical specification based on interactions with the business and potential suppliers, provide recommendations, as well as build and delivery options. Another key part of this role will be managing relationships with external digital agencies and development partners and acting as a facilitator in workshops with both internal and external stakeholders.
This is a full time, permanent role paying £42,000 per annum plus excellent benefits – interviews will be held in early February 2020.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Liaise with Business Analysts, Project Managers and Process Owners as necessary to produce functional requirements specifications and ensure that requirements of systems solutions are sufficiently documented and agreed prior o development and implementation.
Analyse data for system and/or process improvements and support with data strategy.
Support business unit with identifying and prioritising their required development/configuration activities to be undertaken by in-house external or 3rd party development resource.
Ensure effective handover and sufficient ongoing input from Project Managers and Process Owners to ensure project or requirements are delivered to scope.
Support in producing and maintaining standard project management delivery documentation including project plans, RASCI matrix, issues log, risk registers and highlight reports to compliments agreed PMO reporting process.
To understand information flows, data requirements and different system functionalities to be able to support with technical analysis suggesting solutions and discussing options.
Identify project delivery blockers or causes of delay and make recommendations to project team for their mitigation – including escalation mechanisms where appropriate.
Allocate, monitor and review the work/tasks delegated to other involved in a project or within the project team.
Liaise with Implementation Manager and Technical Architect to manage the services from any 3rd party suppliers involved in project delivery.
Monitor project activity against budget to ensure that project spend stays on track.
Ability to break down requirements into smaller units of work with a clear acceptance criteria for an easier understanding of the development team.
Undertake regular reporting on project progress to Stakeholders and project board utilising methodology agreed.
Experience with user requirements analysis and documentation including UML, use case and user stories in both waterfall and agile environments.
Experience working with developers reviewing product architecture and design best practices
Experience with Cloud solutions and / or RDBS
Significant experience of Management Information System (MIS) implementation and the software / system project lifecycle.
Strong communication, facilitation and influencing skills as well as the ability to translate basic user needs into complex technical requirements and vice versa.
Material experience of working in a development team supporting a wide variety multi project / technology business processes would be advantageous.
A good understanding of internet technologies, front end web development technologies, Salesforce or any other CMS and or /CRM software plus Microsoft SharePoint, is desirable.
Material experience of Agile software development methodologies is desirable
