A luxury student accommodation provider is in need of an Accommodation Manager on a initial Temporary Basis to start immediately which is based in Kingston area.

Duration: Ongoing temporary role
Nearest Station: Kingston Train Station
Pay Rate: £14-£15 per hour
Days: Monday to Friday

Job Synopsis:

This role would suit a meticulous, organised and personable individual who has previous sales experience and is comfortable with financial reporting. With knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, you’ll have excellent written and verbal communication skills along with the ability to remain calm and professional in what can be sometimes difficult situations.  

You will be responsible for management of a one of the smaller sties which holds 87 beds and is a lone working site, modern accommodation site based a very short distance the Kingston centre area

Duties of the role:

  • Ensure that all visitors and residents receive a warm, friendly and informative welcome
  • Working to achieve 100% occupancy and ensuring the building is a safe and great place to live
  • Management of Facilities and Health and Safety duties
  • Ensure that all visitors are given an excellent service and given all relevant information about the new accommodation
  • You will show new potential tenants around rooms with the aim to convert viewings into room bookings
  • You will be responsible for ensuring that all enquiries are responded to promptly and efficiently
  • Work with the team to ensure that events and activities are organised to create a fantastic community for all students
  • Build strong working relationships with colleagues and the owners of the building
  • Ensure that any maintenance issues are addressed once the building opens and rectify in a timely manner
  • Responsibility for sales and marketing duties to promote the site to the target audience
  • Undertake room inspections and report any issues once the building is open
  • Use local knowledge to ensure that visitors and residents are aware of local amenities and attractions to maximise their stay
  • Ensure that budgets are met, and reporting is provided to CRM management and the building owners
  • Ensure that you are keeping informed of competitor's activities and remaining competitive with prices and service offerings

Essential Skills and requirements:
  • Excellent customer facing skills
  • Experience in working within accommodation
  • Facilities Management and Health and safety understanding
  • Strong communicator with the ability to build rapport with customers, clients and colleagues
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills
  • Good understanding of sales and marketing to promote the site to target audience
  • Client focused approach
  • Good IT skills (Microsoft Office)
  • Highly organised and proactive approach

Having worked within an academic or hospitality environment/ Student Accommodation would be advantageous
