Financial Controller required by a leading charity based in central London, who have offices all over the United Kingdom.
This is a TEMPORARY role working for circa 2-3 months (35 hours per week) - paying circa £350 to 400 per day - this role will be based in South West London (London SW6). Immediate start required.
The Financial Controller will be responsible for all day to day financial aspects of the charity, providing financial support to the management team and support and advice to all charity branches on financial matters.
The Financial Controller will ensure the accuracy and timely production of monthly management accounts and support the preparation of regular budgets and forecasts. You will also oversee cash flow forecasts, manage the audit process and ensure corporate governance matters are recognised and correctly addressed.
The Financial Controller will probably be a part-qualified or newly qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA) with previous experience in a similar role, managing the finances of a charity. They will ideally have Charity SORP experience.
You will be a strong communicator, able to clearly present financial information to staff across the organisation and highlight lessons or risks within the data.
You will have experience of developing and implementing systems and processes and able to prioritise a varied workload. You will have a working knowledge of Sage financial systems and software, strong Excel skills and previous experience of representing the Finance function at Senior Management Team meetings. Occasional travel may be necessary to other branches across the UK.
