A leading and well respected scientific organisation with a global membership base are recruiting for a Membership and Marketing Manager to cover a maternity leave for a fixed term period.
This will be a 12 month fixed term contract position, working full time hours, paying £32,000 to £35,000 pro rata - this role will be based in the heart of central London - interviews will be taking place in early August 2019
In this role, you will help to develop and deliver the membership and marketing activities to ensure the delivery of strategic objectives relating to membership, grants and marketing. You will be expected to work independently and flexibly, organise your own time effectively and network with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders at all levels. You will track and analyse the success of membership initiatives in increasing membership numbers and continually develop and improve processes and systems.
The Membership and Marketing Manager will play a crucial role in promoting the organisation to prospective members, acting as the first point of contact. The role will focus on the recruitment and retention of members with the aim of driving forward membership growth, grant uptake and building the brand to raise their profile. The postholder will have line management responsibility for the Communications Assistant and be expected to contribute to the organisation's strategic review and implementation process on an ongoing and regular basis.
o Strong budget management skills; proven ability to maintain budgets ensuring accurate record keeping across all projects
o Excellent administration skills (including proven ability to take accurate and informative meeting minutes.)
o Ability to build sound and diplomatic working relationships with others and in particular the ability to liaise with a wide variety of stakeholders.
o Experience of using CRM systems
o Marketing experience
