Part time Internal Communications Manager (working 3 or 4 days per week) required by an established non-departmental public body that supports a wide range of grass roots projects through grants and funding across the UK. This role will be based in Leeds, West Yorkshire.
This position is a part time role, being offered as a temp to fixed term contract covering a period of 6 months and it pays circa £29,000 to £36,000 pro rata. This role will be based in the Leeds office and you will be required to regularly travel to other UK offices. Interviews asap with immediate start thereafter.
The part time Internal Communications Manager will deliver internal communications and engagement on internal communications projects and change communications to support Business Transformation. The role will mainly deliver internal, but also some external, communication across the organisation about the transformation work and resulting changes. The post holder will contribute and build upon the internal communications framework, and provide communications support to ensure the delivery of clear and timely communication with agreed internal and external audiences. Whilst focussed on business transformation the role holder will also support the Head of Internal Communications on wider internal communication issues.
Key skills and attributes required include:
o Experience of managing and delivering internal events, with demonstrable experience, including of change and communication
o Excellent written communications, verbal communications and interpersonal skills, and used to working across a multi-site organisation
o A communication practitioner with demonstrable experience, including of change and communication, used to working across a multi-site organisation
o Experience of delivering creative and compelling communications, particularly around change
o Ability to successfully influence and manage stakeholder relationships at all levels
o Ability to grasp, understand and promote complex and sensitive issues in a persuasive way to different audiences
o Good analytical skills to assess the effectiveness of channels and messaging
o Skilled time manager, able to manage competing demands and liaison/remote working as needed with staff across multiple sites
o Comfortable with ambiguity and an evolving business environment
o Understanding and commitment to equality and diversity in grant giving, governance and the workforce
