A leading membership organisation and regulatory body (within the medical field) in the heart of London's City are looking for a Curricula and Quality Assurance Manager to manage all aspects of maintaining the organisation's core and specific curricula including processing of submissions to the General Medical Council (GMC) and liaison and support for various committees and advisory services. The post holder will oversee all aspects of quality management in specific clinical training including developing and maintaining procedures relating to quality and data management and reporting, as well as line manage the work of the Curriculum Coordinator.

This is a permanent role, working 35 hours per week, paying £41,000 to £45,000 per annum + excellent benefits - interviews for this role will be taking place in early June 2019

Core duties of Curricula and Quality Assurance Manager include:

" Working with the review groups and lead clinicians for curricula and assessment, manage and support the delivery of the curricula review project. Embed the new style curricula across the organisation, ensuring effective communication to trainees and trainers and all other relevant stakeholders in all media, including online, in line with the planned implementation.
" When appropriate, prepare amendments to existing or new curricula and assessment materials for emerging specialties or sub-specialties seeking recognition by the General Medical Council or inclusion of standards by the GMC. This will include the development of credentials and embedding quality and diversity across all areas of curricula development.
" Provide support to relevant staff in relation to all quality, curriculum and assessment matters, including credentialing. This includes the administration and participation in relevant meetings.
" Working with the groups and lead clinician for credentials, plan and administer the development and implementation of credentials, including organising induction days, monitoring progress, assessment and reporting.
" Manage and provide administrative support to all Advisory Committees ensuring that all outcomes are communicated to all relevant stakeholders across all media in a timely fashion and status reporting of curricula and assessment changes is maintained.
" In liaison with the Head of Training & Workforce oversee and support the piloting and introduction of innovative new training programmes
" Liaise with educational leads to compile and produce the Annual Report and review the GMC's Programme Specific Questions (PSQs) in the annual National Training Survey (NTS) with oversight from the Dean and the Head of Training & Workforce Operations.
" Review progression data as well as other quality metrics to report progress and produce papers for relevant internal and external committees in line with College timelines and governance.
" Support the delivery of training days for members such as External Advisors and Tutors.
" Oversee the process for ensuring availability of external advisors for Panels and quality management procedures.
" Oversee the process for 'Out of Programme' Applications, ensuring relevant communication to all stakeholders, preparation of papers for the Quality Assurance Committee and that deadlines are met and outcomes shared in a timely fashion.
" Consult and engage relevant stakeholder groups, including the trainees' online portfolio and e-learning platforms, regarding curricula development and quality management in education. This will include establishing and maintaining effective and regular communication via a variety of communication channels including in person, online and on social media.
" Manage the work of the Curriculum Coordinator including undertaking annual appraisals. Support the management of work of other Coordinators as directed by the Head of Operations.
" Represent the College at a senior level through attendance and engagement with meetings with the GMC and other associations feeding back to relevant staff and officers on matters relating to curricula, assessment and QA development as required.
" Work in collaboration with all members of the Training & Workforce Unit to ensure a consistently high level of service delivery.
