An established Professional Standards College based in the City of London, responsible for regulation and accreditation in the medical field is looking to recruit a Quality Officer to join their team

This is a permanent role with a salary of Salary: £30,000 per annum

Purpose of the role
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Quality team and committees

  • Provide secretarial and administrative support to a range of committees in the Quality Care Cluster
  • Provide secretarial and administrative support to committees in the Service Design Cluster
  • Work with the Quality Manager and relevant Committee Chairs and Directors to provide procedures, policies, materials and reports Support the Quality Manager in organising project work streams for Committees to include arranging bespoke projects and surveys including appropriate data collection and analysis of results.
  • Maintain and develop the content of the College website in relation quality, ensuring information is clearly displayed, accurate and up to date.
  • Support the Quality Manager in the preparation of correspondence, reports, documents and consultation responses.
  • Liaise with Care Quality Commission to provide information and reports

Audit
  • Administer the College's national clinical audit programme:
  • Maintaining the database of clinical audit contacts
  • Annual registration of audit participants
  • Processing annual clinical audit subscriptions
  • Ensuring information about the clinical audit programme is communicated to participants in a clear and timely manner
  • Answering queries from clinical audit participants in a clear and timely manner
  • Developing and maintaining written procedures for College clinical audits
  • Assisting with the analysis of annual clinical audit results
  • Maintaining the clinical audit website
  • Supporting the preparation of clinical audit reports
  • Disseminating reports to clinical audit participants
  • Assisting with related quality improvement projects
  • Working with the Standards & Audit subcommittee to prepare future clinical audits
  • Supporting the future development of the clinical audit programme
  • Ensuring compliance with Healthcare Quality Improvement Partnership (HQIP) framework for Quality Account inclusion.

Service reviews
  • Liaise with Chair to update processes as required
  • Administer the Service Review programme:
  • Maintaining the database of contacts
  • Registration of EDs requesting reviews and preparing for visits
  • Processing subscriptions by liaising with the finance team
  • Ensuring information about reviews, meetings and briefings are communicated to participants and reviewers in a clear and timely manner
  • Answering queries about reviews in a clear and timely manner
  • Developing and maintaining written procedures for
  • Maintaining the website
  • Supporting reviews by attending and taking notes if required
  • Supporting the preparation of reports where required
  • Disseminating reports to participants
  • Supporting the future development of the programme

Advisory Appointments Committee (AAC)
  • Liaise with Advisory Appointments Committee and Sustainable Working Practices Committee to update processes as required
  • Administer the AAC process
  • Maintain database of AAC specialty assessors
  • Coordinate the review of consultant job descriptions in a timely manner
  • Maintain database with regard to AAC requests and consultant recruitment outcomes
  • Ensuring information is communicated to Trusts specialty assessors in a clear and timely manner
  • Answering queries in a clear and timely manner
  • Developing and maintaining written procedures for AACs
  • Maintaining the AAC website
  • Supporting the future development of the programme
  • Provide regular updates on workforce figures to Policy Manager
Other
  • Liaise with the staff of medical colleges, health organisations, government bodies and other organisations
  • Travel in the UK as required for the development and pursuit of College objectives including attending College conferences.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of the administrative processes relevant to the post.
  • Undertake such other tasks as may be reasonably expected within the scope and grade of the post at the request of College Management to ensure College objectives are met.
